It’s hard to find any info on it, in Korean OR English. I think the details might not be totally straightened out yet.
I’ll keep looking.

and I could see it as acting kind of like cranberry sauce as a refreshing alternative to heavy turkey.

1 Randalls Is Road
New York, NY 10035
The concert is on the 10th.
stanfordParticipantI’m not working for the Korean Produce Association (they are the ones putting this on), I’m just going by Korean news reports that say the event was announced with those performers.
As far as I know the event is free, and the concert will be on Oct 10.
stanfordParticipantThe website link seems to be:

and the contest info is at:

Boram, is this your website?
stanfordParticipantHey KalbiQueen, it looks like it’s going to be Oct 9 and 10. I posted the details here:
https://www.maangchi.com/talk/topic/new-york-chuseok-festival#post-3594
stanfordParticipantAccording to this video, the festival will be in Randall Island Park on Oct 9 and 10, from noon to 10pm.
There’s going to be food, makkoli, and a concert from 7-10pm with Kara, Lee Hyo-ri, Kim Jong Kook, Jeong, Beast, Hyun Sook, Kim Bu Ja, Jang Mi Hwa, and Tae Ji Na.
stanfordParticipantI did some Googling but couldn’t find anything. I’ll keep my eyes open the next time I’m in Flushing, there’s bound to be a poster.
stanfordParticipantSome photos & blogging from the event:

stanfordParticipantGreat blog, Grace! Really interesting for people like me.
But I thought Chung Jung Won was #6 (worst) and Wang was #5 (second worst)?
Anyway I don’t know if everyone is reading your blog now, but if they aren’t I saw you had another interesting post about visiting Sunchang, which is famous for making gochujang:

stanfordParticipantThe recipes all print fine for me. Just print like you normally would, and it prints the recipe perfectly.
stanfordParticipantAfter my last post, I went & discovered kimchi & cheese in the fridge! I made one myself, it was awesome.
stanfordParticipantKeep us posted, Brian! Let me know how it turns out.
Looking at this picture, I’m going to go to my kitchen right now, and see if I have any cheese.
stanfordParticipantThat’s the best kind of bibimbap – the bibimbap that makes itself!
stanfordParticipantThat looks like an interesting cookbook! Too bad it’s only in Korean.
