I am a Canadian and have been living in Korea as an English teacher for almost two years. I recently tried the absolutely delicious street food called chalba. I would love to be able to make this when I return home!

Yeah, that looks right! did I use the correct name? I had some difficulty finding out much about this delicious snack.

Just look for “hotteok recipe” on maangchi.com and pick sweet or salty ones.

        Bye, Sanne.

      You have the name correct.

찰바/chalba Its like a fried mochi hot pocket.

Its more “doughy” than tteok because of the sweet rice flour. Texture is more like mochi.
