    Can dried shitake mushrooms that have been soaked and rehydrated in cold water be frozen for later use? Please advise, thanks!



    Yes, usually if I don’t finish using all my shitake mushrooms, then I freeze them in a plastic bag and defrost them when I need to use them! I think after it has frozen and defrosted, it tastes better– the mushrooms become more tender and delicious.
