This special pan is specifically for making Korean fish-shaped bread with red bean fillings (bungeoppang). These pans can be hard to find. You can buy them on Amazon, but they are a little expensive there.
I bought mine in Los Angeles for $17 at ABC Plaza (on the top floor of Koreatown plaza), and I know they also sell them at Kim’s Home Center (928 South Western Avenue, Los Angeles).
If you spotted them anywhere else, please leave a comment and let us know where!
It’s called Taiyaki in Japanese, which might be easier to search for.
I am so happy finally managed to get this from Gmarket Korea and arrived to my office today. Can’t wait to use it.
I know how you feel! : )
I found one in H-Mart http://www.hmart.com/shopnow/shopnow_newsub.asp?p=692167091603
I wonder if Daiso has them too. I love Daiso! A lot of the Marukai’s here in socali have disappeared….and replaced by Daiso.
Oh I definitely gotta pick one up next time I am at Kim’s Plaza!
ebay also has them. I might buy one! Thank you Maangchi!

Also marukai (japanese grocery) has them.
