Oh I was just going to freeze it and then eat it after giving birth heh. I’m due in August so it would be frozen for a couple of months.
Yeah, think I’m just going to go without until after the little one is born.
Thanks for the info!
LisaLMemberWell for myself, there is really only one place to go for the good authetic Asian ingredients. They can be cheap, but also some things can get expensive as well.
It just depends on where you live and if you have a large Asian community. If it’s large, then more than likely you’ll have a lot more cheaper options for your grocery shopping.
If you want to lose weight.. the only thing that has ever worked for myself was going on a Primal or Paleo diet. Look it up if you’re interested.
LisaLMemberOkedoke, thank you!
LisaLMemberThanks :) I froze it as well. Looked up another kimchi recipe and the lady said you could freeze it :)
LisaLMemberAlrighty, I just made georgia’s recipe. I don’t think my kimchi is fermented enough for pancakes just yet.. at least for my taste. And I think next time I’m going to use kimchi juice in place of some of the water just to give it extra flavor. Still, it tasted pretty similar to what I remember, but I think w/ a bit more fermented kimchi, it’ll taste even better :)
LisaLMemberThanks georgia. I’ll try it out soon! :D
LisaLMemberlol hopish. Sounds like my mother. She fusses at me ALL the time when I tell her that I threw out some old kimchi. She always tells me to call her and she’ll come pick it up :P
LisaLMemberOkedoke! Thanks a ton! Can’t wait to make some!
LisaLMemberThanks powerplant.
Would it be ok to just pack the jar w/ the garlic bulbs, or do they expand while in the vinegar so I’d have to leave some room for that?
LisaLMemberthanks a bunch :)
I told my husband to get the coarse powder and it looks like what I need :)
LisaLMemberWow, nice video. Old school right there.
There’s a korean store here. I usually do just buy the rice cakes already made in their nice little packages all cut up and ready to serve lol.
But I bought sweet and regular rice flour now I just want to find different uses for them and thought, hey… maybe making rice cake would be fun :P
LisaLMemberHrmm… well…. so there’s no way to make it at home??
LisaLMemberHi there!
Have a request for you :)
I’m not sure what it’s called and actually I’m not even sure what it is exactly.
I know it’s a side dish. It’s clear gelatin slices (like clear jello). Usually has a soy sauce mixture on it w/ chives and such.
I love it to death and have eaten it often, but I have no idea what it’s called or how to even go about trying to make it.
