Where I come from we don’t get Napa Cabbage. It’s a real bummer! Can I use a Savoy cabbage instead. Also we don’t get hot pepper flakes and paste. What can I substitute with?

With regards to hot pepper flakes, you could try mail ordering them as they are dry goods. Its a little tougher to find a substitute for those. Maybe you could use chili pepper flakes (like you put on pizza) but those are much hotter and you’d have to use less.
