At our local Korean restaurant, every time I order bulgogi, a waitstaff brings out a dark red sauce in a squirt bottle. It’s thick and red. It is not as spicy as the color suggests and a little sweet. Can anyone identify what this is?? I asked and I was told “Korean hot sauce”. Not helpful! :)
I think I tasted red pepper, sugar or honey, and sesame oil.
