Reporting from Gwangju!

Hello!!

I have been living in Gwangju South Korea for a year (and just resigned a contract for another year!!!!) I am a big foodie, but have run into 2 minor problems. 1 – I don’t like spicy food and before I could read 한굴 it was a real problem! (I am still not great though) 2 – No one else liked (past tense, problem solved) Korean food and wouldn’t go out to eat with me. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE MAANGCHI!! I have been able to make Korean food at home. I know that wherever I end up in life I will continue to use these recipes! Thank you so much! Please know that you have helped me impress my co-workers by saying “I am going to make a new batch of Baek Kimchii this weekend.”

For anyone not Maangchi… isn’t she awesome?!
