This week our Korean food fan is Sara Layne from Virginia. She loves Korean drama, so she has her own website where she writes about Korean music and pop culture and she cooks Korean food too!
What is your name and where do you live?
My name is Sara Layne and I live in Norfolk, Virginia.
Tell me about the first time you ever tasted Korean food. Where were you, and what did you eat?
My husband was stationed in Ft. Stewart, GA and I went to a restaurant to try bulgogi. It was delicious but I was afraid to try the kimchi, lol.
How often do you cook Korean food?
I try your recipes at least once a month. I don’t usually post them but they normally turn out very tasty.
What are your 3 favorite Korean dishes?
My favorite Korean dishes are bulgogi, jjajangmyeon and bibimbap.
What’s your best Korean dish, the one that everybody compliments you on?
I enjoy making cucumber kimchi. I’m still introducing my family to Korean foods so I wouldn’t say they compliment me on it but that is the dish I am most comfortable making. My youngest son did enjoy my jjajangmyeon the one time I made it.
