My springform pan won’t fit in my steamer, so I’ve been practicing 무지개떡 using 3″ tart pans, which DO fit in my steamer. So I end up with lots of mini ddeok!!
I’m still having trouble colouring them, but I got the cooking time right (I steam them on high for ten minutes, then simmer for three..) These are the only food colourings I have right now. It is good for spring, I think!
Also, I added a bit of vanilla to the blue layer. It’s delicious!

Thank you maangchi! The rice flour I bought already had water and salt in it, so I only added sugar to it, and it turns out delicious. ^^/
