Hi everybody!
Please come and taste my hangari-made kimchi this Saturday! I know this is short notice but this kimchi will be perfect by then and I’d like to share it with all of you and get your opinion on it. : )

I made a new batch of kimchi on July 29th, but this time I did an experiment. I stored it in a traditional Korean hangari and put it in the fridge right away. I wanted to see  if it would make a big difference in the taste. Usually I store it in a glass or plastic container and then leave some kimchi out for a while before putting it in the fridge.

A few days after I made this kimchi, I posted about it on my my Facebook page and many people expressed interest:

I had some a few days ago with steamed rice, and it was amazing! I kept saying to myself as I ate it: “Agh, delicious, delicious!” : )

I think the taste of this kimchi will be at its peak in a few days. I can’t resist sharing it with you and hearing your opinion. How can I let my readers taste this kimchi? It leads to this idea of having a meetup on such a short notice!

Why don’t you come to Bryant Park in New York City at 11:30 am on August 18th and taste it? Let’s have a kimchi party and you can tell me what you think of it. We’ll meet near the fountain and then find a place to sit before the park gets too crowded, and before it gets too hot. Bring something to share with the others, if you can. I will bring some rice, too.

If you live in or near New York City, or will be here on vacation, sign up below and join us! And join the Facebook event page to meet the other people coming.
