Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

It’s been over thirty years since I was in Korea. Their food is my only real connection to that rich, wonderful culture that treated me with such warmth for my three years there. I still crave those earthy, deep flavors that make the experience so memorable. Korean cuisine is so unique, simple yet so complex. For taste, it far surpasses Chinese and Japanese. I’m lucky to live in a city that has so many wonderful Korean restaurants. I love this web site.

Hi Maangchi!!! I really love your videos. 2,3 years ago I got a chance to go to Korean University for a month which introduced me to Korean foood. At first i was kinda worried about eating spicy food everyday and I thought my stomach gonna hurt. But it didn’t and I loved it sooo much that I wanted to live there forever kkkk! So I wanted to cook it at home and while i was there I was searching on youtube how to cook korean food and I found you there! Ever since then I always watched your videos and loved it so much that i wanted to cook but i didn’t have ingredients so it was hard for me to try out. So i really want to win this!!!!
