Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

Maangchi, Just found your site and have been watching for over two hours. I have enjoyed Korean food for many years as I traveled the Asian countries in the mid 70’s and have a wife and daughters in the Philippines. I watched you do the Short Ribs which is one of my favorite and now I will have to go tomorrow and have some.(Your mean) We have some good resturants here in El Paso. I have not explored your site fully yet but I would love to see you do the Korean Pan Cake. I have a Korean lady here that I get home made Kimchi from when she makes it. I look foreward to trying my hand at some of the dishes.

Hi Maangchi! Thank you for all the awesome recipes. It is almost necessary for me to have a container of Kimchi in my fridge 24/7. Useful for emergencies i.e cravings for korean food (which occurs all the time) Thanks! :D

Love your recipes! I made your grilled pork belly and grilled beef with several side dishes and my family loved them! We had so much fun grilling at the table, the kids loved it! And I had so much fun going to our Korean grocery store, there were was SO much to look at, I cant wait to try more recipes. keep up the great work!
