
Ddeok came out alright. I’ve tried Ddeokbokki once a long time ago. So I wasn’t sure if I got the texture right. I think I might use the wrong type of flour. It says Rice Flour on the package but it wasn’t the chewy. I’ll use Glutinous Rice Flour next time for more chewy texture. Ddeokbokki was so tasty. Thanks Maangchi for the delicious recipes :)

Your garaeddeok rice cake looks super tasty! Don’t use glutinous rice flour (sweet rice flour) because it will turn out so mushy that you won’t be able to make a nice shape. The more pounding, the more chewy rice cake you will get.
