I want to make my own Kochujang but am looking for organic ingredients. Do you know where i can get organic mejugaru and kochugaru? Also can I use plain soy bean flour instead of mejugaru? Finally is natto powder the same as mejugaru?
Hello, I think it’s different between the natto powder and mejugaru, because mejugaru for gochujang is made from fermented of soybean mixed with rice flour .
Hi sawsaydoe, I am also trying to make an organic Kochujang and was wondering if you ever found organic sources for mejugaru and kochugaru? I am having a hard time finding either. So far, only have found crazykoreancooking.com that sells organic kochugaru, but is currently sold out. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
