Long time lurker but finally decided to sign up. I'm Kateri and I'm from the island of Kauai. I am Korean, born in Seoul, Korea, but I was adopted when I was a baby. My family is a local predominantly Portuguese family, so I basically grew up Portuguese. </p> <p>I've loved cooking ever since I was a kid. When I moved back home from college three years ago, I discovered Maangchi and was really excited because I was wanting to get in touch with my Korean roots in some way. I feel a little bit more connected every time I cook one of her recipes. </p> <p>Glad to meet you all! </p>
