Hi, nice meeting you! I'm happy to see many foodies from different cultures join the forum on my website. You are one of the foodies! You can see some Korean dishes are very similar to the ones in your culture. Anytime feel free to leave your thoughts and discuss food and recipes with my other readers here. Welcome!

Hello! I'm Souavarat(Sao-Vah-raat)I am an avid food blog reader and i love reading about peoples' experience with food. I love to cook and eat, and try new things. I stumbled upon maangchi one night about a year ago and just fell in love with this perky little Korean lady making some really good looking food on youtube and i was hooked. I love all Asian foods and Korean food was a new discovery. I am Lao and being so, I am very familiar with the foods of Southeast Asia. The foods of Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Yunnan province, are all familiar flavors. I've come to embrace and devour the flavors from India and the sub-continent and now the flavors of Korea and Japan as well...so many good things to eat! I love it. Thanks to Maangchi for creating this site. Happy eating!
