I recently went to a Korean festival in Orange County and ate skewered fish cakes. I’ve always seen people in dramas eat it so deliciously and was wondering if this is something I can make at home? I usually see the round fish cakes, not the long flat ones.I love the 국물, its great for a cold day and with winter coming up, I’d love to make some. Thanks, Maangchi!!
yes, the fish cake soup is called odengguk or uhmookguk in Korean (오뎅국, 어묵국). It’s super easy to make. Make stock with dried anchovies, radish, dried kelp first and add skewed fish cake to the stock and cook more.
Thank you for your request and the recipe will be posted in the future.
