Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

Whoever wins this package will be so lucky, I’m a 20 year old Korean/Canadian born from Belgium and being a student I havn’t had my moms cooking in over 2 years. The chance to cook Korean food on my own would be so great.

I would love to win this package because I live in Michigan and I am only 15 (turning 16 in two days ^_^) and i LOVE trying new dishes and I always wanted to make Korean food but I never had the right ingredients, and since I can’t drive to the nearest korean store (which is hours away) this would be a great way to get started for me and my family to make Korean dishes ^_^
Hi maangchi! I love all of your cooking videos and I love korean food! Altho I’ve never had any I’ve always wanted to cook some. But where I live we don’t have a korean store near by so I’ve never had a chance to cook any of your recipes. I’m a person who loves to cook and make other countries foods. Its been quite some time since I started watching your videos. I think I watched all of them at least 5 times and they never get old…. they all look so delicious and I really want to cook them so badly….
In my case there are some asian stores, but they mostly sell japanese, thai and vietnamese ingedrients. Its so hard to get propper Sesameoil or Korean Pepper Paste. And if you get them they will be super super expensive…. which is so sad, because I want to cook korean so often.
By the way,its so cool from you and CJ to give those ingedrients to 20! lucky winners….
Last year me and my sister made sushi at silvester, but this time (if I would win) I would cook some super delicious korean food for my family, and show them how yummy it is.!!!!!
Wow! I’d love to win this kit, I live in Argentina and Korean goods are not common (whenever I do one of your recipes I always have to substitute more than one ingredient xD), so I’d be great if I got this!! =D
Ohhh that is so amazing :D i’d want to win that, so i can try to make all the tasty korean food at home, all my family think all i can do is make is Italian and “American” food and have been on my case to make some Asian food although with Asian food i get lost with finding all the ingridents by myself at the Asian Grocery Stores like those huge noodle isles have lots and lots of noodles that are similar and then i’d find one bag and buy it, then bring it home only to realize its the wrong kind of noodles x-x

I do hope I win this because I can’t get the items like the peppers and other things very easily around here. It’s a joy when I am able to find Kimchi, last time I bought it was rotten though UGH did not smell good at all.

Hello Maangchi. I’ve been learning from your recipes for a while now. Thank you for encouraging us, show us, and educating us on Korean food and its origins. I learned cooking from my friends in Jeju-do. I’ve shown your videos to them and they were amazed how widespread Korean food has become. Keep up the great work!
