Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

I’ve tried some of your great recipes and there were delicious. I always restock my kimchi so that I can eat it whenever i want. In fact, my brother who always complaints about the smell, loves it after he tried it. Hehehe. I would like to try more but I’m having a hard time searching for ingredients. It would be great if I win these wonderful stuff. Thanks. :D

I have agree with a lot of the people here, I live in the middle of Alabama and some of the stereo types are true. Its hard to find food outside of southern culture to make, and I LOVE Korean food and your videos.

I would love to receives those ingredients, here in the north of England, korean food ingredients are rare to get, and most I have to order from London. I have a few friends who loved the spicy stir fried pork and the green onions pancake. I made braised chicken with the vegetable, it was lovely and yummy! The only thing I can’t make is sujebi, Soondubu jjigae because I don’t have those ingredients and I’m really missing out!
I really would want to have those ingredients to have a night at my house and invite my friends and make them try those food and get them addicted! mostly that awesome kimchi!! who doesn’t love home made kimchi? :-) I really hope I can win this! big fan of yours, being watching your cooking recipe since you started! I hope you show more of them!

This is so awesome and I would love to win! I think it’s so nice of Maangchi and CJ to do this. I had to choose between (pre) medicine and cooking to study in college, and I choose (pre) medicine.Now cooking is what keeps me sane after all that work so being able to do some Koren cooking would be so cool. :)

amazingness!!! lol i have always have a hard time finding good korean food ingredients… scold me but literally i have tried almost all the things i could see on hmart and i am still at a blur of which brands are good and stuffs like that…..this starter kit will be awesome.
WAAAHHH…..!! Winning these would be AWESOME! I’ve always tried to convince my mom that Korean food are delicious, but she never believed me. I tried making some kinds of Korean food, but it just doesn’t taste right with plain old chilli sauce. If I get the set, I’ll make sure my mom taste the real ‘hands’ of Korea! :D
