Hello everybody!
Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The winners need to answer me in 5 days, and if anyone doesn’t answer in time I’ll have to pick the next winner. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

I would love to win! I’ve always been interested in cooking, especially Korean food. :) There used to be a really good Asian food market near where I lived during highschool, but I moved pretty far away for College, and there isn’t much here except for a walmart. It would be a welcome change from ramen, easymac, and cafeteria food! XD

Hi Maangchi! Ive been watching your videos on youtube for about 2-3 years now and learned so much from you. I cant cook korean food as often though due to not having enough money for the ingredients. When I did finally get my hands on some after saving I tried making ddeok bokki. Thank goodness the ingredients last for a little while. It came out great with your instructions. It is now my grandmas favorite. She is always asking for it. My sisters and friends love korean food too and love eating the food I cook. Ive now made spicy fried pork,spicy fried fish cake, kimchi gae, korean pancakes with imitation crab, japchae, rice cake soup, and soondubu jjigae. I hope I win! Thank you for your videos!

I served with the US Army in Korea in 1968-69 and 1978-79. I fell in love with the people and the food. I enjoy making the recipes I can, but finding many of the ingredients here in Maine is always a problem. Winning this contest will help, but finding a reliable mail order supplier will help even more.

I would SO love to win this.. There are no Korean stores here. I’ve had to resort to using substitutes of similar ingredients to try out some of the recipes. And I have to travel 80miles to find my nearest Chinese store. Would love to try the authentic Korean flavours..
