Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The winners need to answer me in 5 days, and if anyone doesn’t answer in time I’ll have to pick the next winner. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

I’m an English online teacher to Korean students for many years and learned Korean cultures. I got interest in Korean food when my colleagues invited me to eat in one of the famous Korean restaurant here in the Philippines. It tasted good and started to search some Korean recipe videos and found your site. I enjoy watching your videos. Every recipe look so easy to prepare. Unfortunately living in rural area, I cannot easily find Korean ingredients and in some big supermarkets away from here sell very expensive Korean products. I wish I could have a chance to win this kit to be able to start cooking Korean food this Christmas. It will be a wonderful Christmas gift. =)

Love you Maangchi-ssi! I love Korea and their culture! I am working on loving their foods because I have not been able to taste enough to know for sure if I love the foods. I really wish I was one of the lucky ones to win. If it wasn’t for you Maangchi my Korean cooking skills would have gone down the drain. After I found your website I started cooking Korean food more and more (because you make it look soooo easy) and I am very thankful for that. My Taiwanese husband loves Korean food and to show him that Korean food is the best I think I cooked almost all your recipes haha. Thank you so much! You help me stay Korean :)
Sadly, there are no Korean restaurants where I live. It would be great to cook some Korean food on my own but it’s hard if not impossible to find some of the Korean ingredients locally. Thank you for the great Korean recipes Maangchi! 감사합니다!
