Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The winners need to answer me in 5 days, and if anyone doesn’t answer in time I’ll have to pick the next winner. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

Hey there! I just discovered your amazing website two weeks ago! I made some delisious recepies already. The first one a perfectly-realised Kimchi! I made baechu doenjang guk today for the second time this week, because it’s a perfect winter soup and I get cravings for it on regular basis :)
(Replacing anchovies with kombu and dried shiitake mushrooms worked out fine, too)

I am a Korean adoptee who is looking for her birth family. I tried my first bite of Korean food at the age of 25, but unfortunately it wasn't very good. Years later, I had my first bite of delicious Korean food at the age of 39. Though I have no memories of Korea or my family, Korean food is like a piece of home for me. Now I am addicted and crave the flavors. Your website has given me the direction and confidence to make Korean food and recapture some of the birth culture that was irrevocably lost to me. Thank you very much.
I am in love with Korean Culture! I am a Kpop and Kdrama addict and recently started making some easy Korean dishes to try out the cuisine! I love Korean food! Its so spicy and tasty and the taste is never bland! I love well seasoned food and Korean food is a perfect example. I love how you show us how to cook so many different dishes and I love you recipes. It inspired me to cook! I hope I win this because I don’t have many Asian/Korean shops in my town and its very hard to get the spices and pastes used to create all the wonderful dishes. I usually have to buy online but it gets pretty hectic! I would love to get these to try out more dishes and know which products to trust! I love Korean food and I hope I win this so that I can eat all the food delicously!

Ah! I would love to win! It is so hard to find Asian ingredients and sauces in Miami, and I’ve been trying my best to make your recipes. There aren’t even korean restaurants here!
