Hi maangchi, finally I found gochujang and rice cake at high end food market in Suria KLCC. It was very expensive. I made this ddubokki is very easy and fast to make. I like the taste of the gravy and the rice cake is very chewy but it taste is a bit sour. I don’t think it reaches expiry date yet, do you think it is spoiled?

The recipe is here.

I went to the grocery store in Suria KLCC during my Gapshida trip!
“it taste is a bit sour” It is not supposed to taste sour. Hot pepper paste is not sour. https://www.maangchi.com/ingredients/hot-pepper-paste-gochujang

I think you bought chogochujang which is mixture of hot pepper paste, vinegar, and sugar.
However, your ddukbokkie looks very tasty. My chogochujang recipe is posted here: https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/fresh-fish-meal

chogochujang: 초고추장: sweet, spicy, and sour sauce made with hot pepper paste and vinegar
    gochujang: 고추장: hot pepper paste
