Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The winners need to answer me in 5 days, and if anyone doesn’t answer in time I’ll have to pick the next winner. So please, when you register for my website to leave a comment, make sure you use a current email! And be sure to check your email around that time!
The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

This is a great giveaway, I love your videos. I started looking how to make Korean food after watching Boys Over Flowers ( I know I’m a dork!) lol. I love Korean dramas & the food looks so good. Plus, my older brother lives in SK. :)
this is the greatest news i’ve heard in awhile and I really love watching your shows because I am going to move to Korea in a few years so this is really helping me learn about the food and CJ’s rocks for doing this because it’s really hard to find Korean ingredients in my area so this would really help!!! i am a medical student, and i love what you cook, its east, sometimes cheap and most importantly delicious and very fast to prepare!
i try my best to prepare what you cook at home, and its amazing, thou i have never tried to cook korean food before “real korean food”, so i would love to win the kit to never have an excuse not to!

Hi Maangchi! I first started being interested in Korean food when I would always see it in k-dramas. It looked so good, so I finally tried it at a restaurant and it was DELICIOUS! I love all of the spicy dishes. I want to make it at home all the time now. :)

This summer I even made my first Kimchi using your recipe and proudly shared that with my family and friends. They love it!
Although it was hard finding some of the ingredients, but I tried my best to have all ingredients possible. I have also tried your Rainbow rice cake. I must said this recipe look simple but the hardest part is sifting each layers. The outcome is definitely a sweet one.
