Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The winners need to answer me in 5 days, and if anyone doesn’t answer in time I’ll have to pick the next winner. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

I’m so excited about this contest! I belong to a minority ethnicity called Hmong and I’ve been trying to promote Korean food to my culture because we really don’t have a wide variety of dishes like the Koreans do and Maangchi you’re the one who makes it all happen for us! i love this site and the food! I have to admit i found this site when i started watching Korean dramas and the actors would eat their food like it’s so delicious and every time i see a new dish in the dramas, i find the recipes here! It’s amazing! Keep up the good work Manngchi and the recipes too!

Please enter me in your contest. I really love watching your cooking videos–they inspire me to get cooking in the kitchen in general, not just Korean. I have tried several Korean recipes–we especially love Korean-style pancakes, and I look forward to trying more. When I make something we don’t care for, my husband wonders why I keep at it–but with any cuisine, there will be things you like and things you don’t, and you just have to keep trying more recipes! I’ve been looking for quite some time for a good site with Korean recipes, I just stumbled on this site and find it truly amazing. Your site is really great. I love that you have the recipes in video form. It helps me a lot because I’m a visual learner. I always hate getting those cookbooks that don’t have pictures.
