Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

What a great thing for you and CJ to do, Maangchi! It would be great to win this contest because there have been many of your recipes I have wanted to try to make, but Korean ingredients are very hard to find here in my area.
Oh, oh, oh! Pick me! I am so deserving – LOL! Seriously, I have my YouTube account linked to the TV in our living room so I can watch all the videos from there AND kitchen. Hi Maangchi! Thank you so much for all your recipes and videos. My husband and I are big fans of Drama Fever and every time we see them eating the Korean dishes we oooo and aaahhhh over them and want to try some. There are NO Korean food supplies of any kind where I live and we have to mail order everything or try to make do with something else. Your videos really help us to improve our attempt at preparing these wonderful dishes. Our next attempt is going to be Mandu!

An-nyo’ng-ha-se-yo? Maangchi! My interest for korean food sparked when I began listening to Korean hip hop music as a teenager, watched many t.v drama’s and movies! After a few years of watching drama after drama, I noticed that the food they showed looked so healthy and delishes. I began searching Youtube for recipes and stumbled upon your page. Since then my family has fallen in love with many of your recipes, they can’t get enough of Bimbimbop! Every time I cook korean food, it gives my family a taste of Korea. Now, they want to visit Korea to truly experience the culture as a whole. Thank you for opening a bridge that allows other nationality to experience and be apart of your culture.

SAWASDEE from Thailand, I live in Chiang Mai. Province of northern Thailand. Korean food is quite popular here but the raw materials for cooking Korean food really very difficult to pickup for cooking. We are the only materials that may be used interchangeably with the food that you make me see on youtube. Is it will taste like you’re doing or not. but when I saw you taste anything in your show it drive me to try to do it anywhere anyhow ^^

Hi Maangchi I really want to learn how to make Korean food since I’m half Korean, but I can’t seem to find the ingredients where I live, so it would be really fun to learn who to make Korean food whit help form your starting kid :) and maybe find other ways of getting Korean ingredients. <(^.^<)!
