Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

I love Korean culture, I love everything about Korea. I’m trying to learn Korea language.
I used to live in the US and now living in Mexico, it’s kinda hard to find the ingredients ( I live in a small town in Mexico, where I’m the only Asian in town)….
I’m trying my best to find some ingredient that can fit into Korean cooking (I”m Indonesian, and it’s even harder to find Indonesian ingredient as well)…..
I live around 1.5 hours from Guadalajara, Mexico…Pls let me know if you’re coming to Guadalajara area.

Luck’s never on my side and I don’t ever win these things but the Korean ingredients are just so tempting!!!!! I have given Korean cooking a try and it’s fun but it’s just hard to find a place with all the ingredients… so maybe I’ll have a chance to win a set!

I am still trying to learn bit by bit of your recipes. Trying to master every Korean dish before learning a new one. I have successfully learned how to make Kimchi without reading your recipes because every month i would make a new one sometimes i might get the ratio wrong but then i got used to making it. I also tried making Hoddeok one time based on your recipes. Sometimes i put fresh berries, strawberry or even jam and peanut butter in the for the filling.(make it more delicious)..

Hey Maangchi I love your recipes, but I was never able to make them because I did not have the ingredients. I have been watching your videos for a year. Every time I watched your videos it makes me more eager to eat Korean food. And my sister looks just like. So I wish I could win the contest and make as much of your recipes as I can so that more people can taste the greatness of your recipes.

I am a Puerto Rican who has fallen in love with Korean cuisine and thankto your videos I’m able to try them at home This is a great giveaway! how AWESOME is this! my husband uses your kimchi recipe. EVERYONE, even people who don’t think they’ll like kimchi or have tried it in the past and didn’t like it, LOVE it. it’s a frequent request for him to make. LOVE LOVE LOVE korean food and dramas! hopefully one day, we’ll get a chance to go. until then, this kit would be awesome!

CJ makes very good Korean food products and it is always my preferred brand when buying any Korean ingredient/food item. It has never failed me so far!
