Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The winners need to answer me in 5 days, and if anyone doesn’t answer in time I’ll have to pick the next winner. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

Over time i have been watching and enjoying your videos and this promotion is a great idea! I found it hard to remember or find some of the ingredients so unable to make some things.

Hi Maangchi.. I chance upon your wonderful website while searching for korean recipes. Now I have joined your blog!!! Hurray to CJ!!!! Recently I found CJ ddukbokkie sauce and CJ rice cake from my local supermarket. The instruction is really easy and wah lah the ddukbokkie is ready in less than 20 min. Plus it was so delicious!!! My mum and I really love it so much!!! I also introduce it to my friend and now she is addicted!!! ha ha. I would really love to win the CJ startup kit and cook more yummy yummy korean food!!! BTW, I really love your easy kimchi recipe.

I don’t know why Korean cooking has been so overlooked in the U.S.! Maangchi you are a fabulous ambassador for Korean cooking and have inspired me to learn and cook more. Getting the basic pastes and sauces would really help. I live hours from the nearest Asian market of any kind. Good luck to all!

If I won the Korean ingredient start up kit, I would be so glad to have all the ingredients I need to make Tok Bok ki, with delicious rice cakes.. And then I would make spicy hot soondubu chigae… with pillowy soft tofu, and a yummy rich egg.. And Then I would invite all my friends over for a night of fun and feasting, and serve an authentic Korean BBQ with all kinds of wonderful banchan… I would make Maangchi’s recipe for Nappa cabbage kimchi, and radish kimchi… my friends and family all together laughing, talking, and eating traditional Korean fun bbq meal would make wonderful memories !! :)

I love korean culture, especially the Korean food.
I’ve been travelling to Korea, and the original food are so delicious, I really love it.
Since I came back from Korea, I’d tried some Maangchi’s recipe and it’s delicious.
And by watching your video cooking process, it does really help me a lot.
Unfortunately, since I am not living in the capital city of Indonesia, sometimes its kinda hard to find some Korean ingredients.

I would love to win. I love trying to make korean food, since I have gotten into Korean culture and have been very intrigued by it.
