Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The winners need to answer me in 5 days, and if anyone doesn’t answer in time I’ll have to pick the next winner. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

HIIIII Maangchi!!! I was so excited when I heard about this contest!! I’ve been watching your videos for some time now and I really enjoy them. :) I would love to someday be able to taste and prepare Kimchi and other Korean dishes. I can only imagine what it taste like. I made friends withs some korean exchange students in my university a’nd I’m trying to learn the korean language. I must say that I’m falling in love with Korea <3. I biggest dream is to someday be able to visit the country and taste all the food hahahha. Its almost impossible to comeby the ingredients neccesary to prepare the korean meals where I live [Colima, México] T.T thats why I haven't been able to try the dishes… but my korean friends one day prepared me curry with some local available ingredients and I loved it. It only made me want to try more and more korean foods. I really hope to win the CJ Ingredients package so I can finally start cooking =) …. Keep up the good work Maangchi!! :D ….
