Recently CJ Foods contacted me and offered to send me some Korean ingredients as a way of saying “thank you” for spreading Korean culture and cuisine. It was very kind of them to offer, but after talking to them some more, we decided it would be more fun to set up this giveaway for my readers. This is CJ’s way of encouraging you to cook Korean food, because they know that not everyone can find Korean ingredients easily.
So, leave a comment on this post, and you’ll be entered to win a Korean cooking startup kit from CJ.
Please leave only one comment below, and then there will be 20 winners chosen at random by random.org. This contest is open to anyone in the world. Wherever you live, if you win then CJ will deliver this startup kit to your house.
The contest will close at midnight (New York time), December 15th and I’ll contact the winners through email. The winners need to answer me in 5 days, and if anyone doesn’t answer in time I’ll have to pick the next winner. The other cool thing about this startup kit is that a lot of the products in it are from CJ’s new Bibigo brand, which you’ll soon be able to buy outside of Korean grocery stores in the USA. I asked CJ about this, and they said Bibigo is just a new brand name for their Haechandle brand, which I have been using for decades and you may have seen in my ingredients section.

I tried some korean recipes before …some turned out good and some …..
It would be great if I can win this contest so I can try different recipe by using a correct ingredient (Last time, I tried to make your chicken recipes and went to a supermarket to buy rice syrup…however, I got a corn syrup i/o rice syrup……anyway, the corn syrup taste pretty good =D)

Your food takes me back to my childhood. I can remeber when my mom would ask me what I would want to eat and I would say jjajangmyun and kimchi. I am so happy that I found your site. I love your youtube and blog they have been so helpful to me. I’m an american woman who has fallen madly in love and is getting married to a man form Seoul Korea. I want to be the best wife I can for him and it’s hard because we have two different childhoods and views on marriage. He and I both work very hard to try and understand each other. I wanted to make him feel at home by cooking some of his favorite food from Korea. So far I can cook Kimbap (김밥) and Miyeok Guk (미역국). I can also finely read Korean too.
