I made this recipe with pork belly but next time I might use a combo of pork belly and pork shoulder. My boyfriend is Korean but was adopted when he was 5 months old. He doesn’t know anything about his culture so this is my effort to teach him since I love to cook! He won’t learn to speak Korean but he won’t ever turn down my food ;D

    You sound like a wonderful person! You are helping your boyfriend learn about his Korean heritage and culture through your delicious homemade food. “He won’t learn to speak Korean but he won’t ever turn down my food ” haha, that’s true! Your doejibulgogi looks fantastic!
