    Condensed milk

    Condensed milk, also known as sweetened condensed milk, is an essential ingredient for patbingsu (Korean shaved ice with sweet red beans and fruit). Drizzling this  sweet and slightly sticky condensed milk on top of patbingsu will give it sweetness and make it taste more like ice cream when it’s mixed with shaved ice.

  3. Rice cake for patbingsu (Patbingsu-tteok)

    These small pieces of chewy rice cake are used for making patbingsu and you can usually find them in a Korean grocery store. Each serving of patbingsu usually uses several pieces. When the rice cake mixes with the sweet red beans and cold shaved ice, they get more chewy.
